Things to do in Port Townsend
There's lots to do, no matter what the weather.

The Big Red Barn is just a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk (by beach or road) to charming downtown Port Townsend, one of only three historic Victorian seaports on the National Historic Register. Quaint, photogenic, and full of unique shopping opportunities, Port Townsend is a destination not to miss.

Fine dining, theaters, art galleries, antique stores, and interesting clubs mesh with a 1960s funkiness which is uniquely Port Townsend.

Beach access is just seconds away. Our barbecue and bicycles are at your disposal. Sailboat charters and kayak rentals in town allow you to explore the waters off Port Townsend.

You'll find the Big Red Barn is literally a stone's throw from Fort Worden State Park, which offers a myriad of activities. Walk its beaches, hike the wooded trails, explore abandoned munitions bunkers, play tennis, swim, fish, ride bikes, touch sea creatures at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center, launch your boat or kayak, and enjoy Centrum's many activities. Enjoy a sumptuous meal at "A Café" at the Fort Worden Commons.

Family camping at the fort? Stay with us, enjoy a comfy bed, and still participate in family activities. Now, that's the best of both worlds!

I'm ready to make a reservation!
